Kalea’s Homecoming Session + Fun, Friends, and Teen Confidence at New Hope Middle School

Meet Kalea — a fun-loving, confident 13-year-old who brings energy, personality, and a little sass everywhere she goes ✨📸

Kalea is at that sweet spot of being young, fearless, and totally herself. She loves TikTok (and yes, she definitely knows the trends), and she has a natural confidence that shines through whether she’s behind a screen or in front of the camera. When she’s not hanging out with friends or keeping up with her favorite creators, she’s usually busy doing what she loves most — playing sports and competing.

As a student at New Hope Middle School, Kalea is part of the school’s soccer team, and her athletic side shows in everything she does. She’s also passionate about volleyball and competition cheer, which means she’s constantly moving, pushing herself, and embracing a little healthy competition. That mix of strength, coordination, and confidence made her photography session so much fun — she took direction effortlessly and wasn’t afraid to try new poses or show off her personality.

We photographed Kalea’s homecoming photos, where she went with a group of friends, she made the entire session feel more like a celebration than a photo-shoot. There was lots of laughing, hyping each other up, and those genuine moments in between poses that always end up being the favourites. Kalea’s happy and sassy teenage spirit came through in every image — from big smiles to playful expressions and confident stances that showed just how comfortable she is being herself. We took her photos at Sharon Johnson Park where many others where taking homecoming photos. Kalea stole the light in all the right places and stood out amongst the others with her sassy confidence and bright smile.
