 Taking on something new

For years, my photography existed in a quiet world—safeguarded in folders, shared only on occasion, and cherished chiefly by me. Yet, I’ve recently felt an urge to elevate my work. It's not just about showcasing completed images anymore; it’s about unraveling the stories woven within them. The evolution. The lessons learned. The defining moments that shape my perspective. This blog is my commitment to that journey of exploration.

My path in photography began earlier than I realized. It was during my sophomore year of high school when I stepped onto the yearbook team. At that time, I lacked a high-end camera and a clear vision of photography's potential. I simply knew I had a passion for capturing authentic moments—those fleeting instances like Friday night football games, spontaneous laughter in the hallways, and those subtle details that others easily overlook. Through my yearbook experience, I discovered that photography transcends mere images; it is an art of storytelling.

That experience cultivated a seed within me. I learned to observe intently, to wait patiently, and to recognize emotion and connections. Even back then, I found myself drawn to the moments in between—the unposed, the raw, the genuine. I may not have understood it at the time, but those instincts would become integral to my journey.
